Growth Engineer - Developers

This role is the bridge between Reactor and the developers building on it. You will be one of the first GTM hires, working directly with the founders to grow and nurture the community of developers, creators, and builders who are defining what real-time interactive video can become.
You will be the person developers trust. The one who shows up in Discord at midnight to help someone debug their integration, speaks at hackathons, writes the tutorial that makes everything click, and brings developer feedback directly into the product roadmap.

What You'll Do

  • Community building: Own Reactor's developer community across Discord, Twitter, and wherever builders gather. Create the environment where the most interesting things get built and shared.

  • Developer advocacy: Be the voice of Reactor in technical communities. Speak at conferences, run workshops, sponsor hackathons, and demonstrate what is possible with real-time world models to audiences who have never seen it before.

  • Content and education: Create tutorials, sample projects, documentation, and video content that helps developers go from zero to building in minutes. Make the complex feel simple without dumbing it down.

  • Developer feedback loop: Maintain a continuous pulse on what developers need, what is confusing, and what is missing. Translate that into actionable product insights for the engineering team.

  • Partnerships with builder communities: Build relationships with game jam organizers, creative coding communities, university programs, and developer platforms to expand Reactor's reach into new builder audiences.

  • Onboarding and activation: Own the developer onboarding experience from first signup to first shipped project. Identify where developers get stuck and fix it.

Who You Are

  • You have 2+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, or community building at a technology company. Ideally in AI, developer tools, gaming, or creative technology.

  • You can write code. Not necessarily at an engineering level, but you can build a working demo, read a code sample, and understand what a developer is struggling with.

  • You have genuine enthusiasm for what developers build. You follow creative coders, game jammers, and generative artists. You know the communities, the influencers, and the events that matter.

  • You are a natural communicator. You write clearly, speak confidently, and make technical ideas feel exciting to audiences ranging from indie developers to enterprise engineering teams.

  • You are relentlessly present. Developer relations is not a 9-to-5 role. The community does not stop and neither do you.

  • You thrive in ambiguity and speed. We are early-stage and moving fast. You are energized by that, not intimidated.

Nice to Have

  • An existing following or presence in a developer or creative technology community.

  • Experience building with generative AI tools, game engines, or creative coding frameworks like p5.js, TouchDesigner, or Unity.

  • Prior experience at a seed or Series A stage startup.

  • Content creation experience: YouTube tutorials, technical blog posts, live streaming, or social media with a technical audience.

  • Familiarity with GPU cloud infrastructure and AI deployment at scale.

Benefits

  • Competitive SF salary and meaningful equity in an early-stage company backed by top investors

  • Opportunity to shape developer relations from day one

  • Direct access to founders and influence over product direction

  • Visa sponsorship and relocation support

  • Generous health, dental, and vision coverage
