About the team

The AI team at Degen is a small group of researchers and engineers obsessed with pushing the limits of generative models. We move fast, publish selectively, and ship constantly. Every model we build ends up in the hands of real users within weeks.

About the role

You'll work at the frontier of generative AI, designing and shipping models that power Degen's core creative experiences. You'll collaborate closely with product and engineering to take research from idea to production.

Responsibilities

  • Design, train, and evaluate generative models for image, video, and audio.

  • Translate research into production-grade systems used by millions.

  • Push the quality and speed of inference on constrained hardware.

  • Stay ahead of the field and bring the best ideas into Degen.

  • Partner with Gen Engineers to ship fast.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in applied ML or AI research.

  • Strong fundamentals in deep learning and generative modeling.

  • Experience with PyTorch or JAX.

  • Ability to move fast without breaking everything.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward shipping.

Compensation

$210K – $270K + Offers Equity • Multiple Ranges
